Compliance Supervisor - SPM Awarua, INVERCARGILL

We are seeking a committed and self-motivated person to fill the position of Compliance Supervisor at SPM Awarua, located just outside of Invercargill. This is an exciting and challenging role for anyone looking to take the next step in their career within the field.  

The Compliance Supervisor helps to ensure that the site adheres to quality and compliance programmes (including but not limited to HACCP, RMP, and supporting programmes) and works with the wider team to make certain that the plant remains compliant with NZ and overseas regulatory requirements at all times. Responsibilities of the role include on site sampling and internal auditing.

 It is essential that you have had experience in a role involving compliance or similar, preferably within the meat processing industry.

Experienced Lamb Slaughter and Boning Staff - SPM Awarua, INVERCARGILL

We are seeking suitably experienced Boners, Trimmers & Slaughterers to join our Lamb team in the upcoming season.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience as Y-cut, Pelters, Gutties, Sawmen and Boners.

 Successful applicants must demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience with safe work practices
  • Willing to learn and reliable with a good attitude
  • Flexible to work weekends during peak of season.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team or individual environment

Competitive pay rates, combined with an extended season, make this an attractive industry option.

Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and be prepared to work on a shift structure.

While previous experience in the above roles would be an advantage, we will offer training to applicants with previous knife experience, a proven work ethic, good references and  who are willing to make a commitment to the meat industry.

Company Post Mortem Meat Inspector - SPM Malvern, CHRISTCHURCH

We are seeking committed and self motivated people for the position of Post Mortem Meat Inspector.

The successful applicants will be responsible for carrying out post mortem inspection of dressed carcases and their parts to identify conditions that may affect food safety standards.

Applicants must hold the NZQA Level Four Certificate in Animal Examination.

Key personal requirements include:

  •         Attention to detail and excellent organisation
  •         Being a friendly, approachable team player
  •         A great work ethic and can do attitude
  •         A proven track record of being reliable and punctual
  •         Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised.
  •         Previous experience within the meat industry or the food safety field is advantageous.
